The Juvenile Advocacy Group and Milford Youth Center will host a teen fashion show at 6 p.m. tomorrow.
The event, called “Get Dressed Up, Not Messed Up,” will be held at the Youth Center, 24 Pearl St.
Organizers hope to raise awareness about underage drinking and increase youth self-esteem about body image.
Members of the JAG Youth Council will model teen fashions provided by T.J. Maxx. The event, in its fifth year, promotes a “partnership among community members trying to ensure a comprehensive vision and plan for the health of the youth in the town of Milford. … Members of JAG hope that all youth who participate in the fashion show will have an increased awareness of the dangers of underage drinking and a greater ability to make healthy decisions throughout life,” according to a press release from the Juvenile Advocacy Group. Admission costs $3 per person or $10 per family. Formal or professional attire is requested.
